Climate Change, Resilient Parks!
The EUROPARC Federation and the Fédération des Réserves Naturelles Catalanes (FRNC) are honoured to invite you to France for the EUROPARC annual conference and General Assembly. This year’s editions will focus on Climate Change Adaptation in and around Protected Areas.
Climate is changing! How can Protected Areas adapt?
Throughout the program and with the help of experienced practitioners, experts and researchers, we will seek to better understand:
- How will climate change affect Protected Areas and their surroundings?
- How to assess their vulnerability?
- How to prepare ourselves collectively to adapt for the future.
About the conference
Every year, hundreds of nature conservation professionals get together from all over Europe. Members, partners and friends of the EUROPARC Federation gather for 3 days to meet, learn and exchange on all matters related to Protected Area management. Through keynote speeches, participative workshops, site visits and social events, the EUROPARC annual conference is a unique opportunity to develop your knowledge, professional skills and network. Having fun is also on the cards
This year’s edition is organised by EUROPARC Federation and the Fédération des Réserves Naturelles Catalanes (FRNC) in the framework of the LIFE Natur’Adapt Project. Participants will benefit from the learnings and ouptuts of this 5-year LIFE project. It experimented on how to best integrate climate change into Protected Area management practices. It also focused on laying the foundation of a dynamic collective learning process.
